02 - A letter.


This is a letter from her to someone. The first thought where that you would hear the dialog, but I messed up the microphone and instead of filming it again I come up with this solution that turned out terrific(considered to lack of time, money and future experience... haha)!

This episode is made by lovely Katja and me. Katja is the other girl in this video.
The music is made by my friend Oskar! It's a the knife cover. Wonderful! His myspace: Oskar Ek.

    Otroligt fint! Gillade verkligen brevet istället för dialogen, kändes "indiefilmigt" fast på ett nyskapande sätt. Gillade även färgerna och att musiken var något iallafall inte jag hade hört förut. Verkligt bra gjort, ser fram emot fortsättningen!

    Väldigt vackert! Allt går perfekt ihop, och brevidén var verkligen fantastisk... En sån tur med det tekniska missödet!
    Filmar du med en digital systemkamera eller en filmkamera? Kvalitén är super.

    I like this so much more than the first one. The broken-up photos/filming is very cool and the short letter intervals work so well. I can see a bit of Sadie Benning shining through, but you've made it your own, which is great. I am very excited to see the next one.

    The the song is called "Heartbeats" originally performed by The Knife.
    I'm not sure what's wrong with the myspace though :/

    I find the the letter combined with scenes great! Keep going emma! This is a beginning of something very very good!

    Och Emma, jag tror vet vad som kan hända härnäst! Allt är ju så charmerande och det är fjärilar i magen och tonårsförälskelse. Nästan idylliskt ju. I verkligheten är det sällan så allt för länge. Så:
    Flickan bjuder henne på fest. Hon ägnar hela veckan till att prova kläder och smink. Ingenting passar, allt är fult. På fredagen är hon så nervös att hon bråkar med alla. Väl på festen vet hon inte vad hon ska ta sig till. Hon vill ju bara dansa med flickan, ta med henne hem. Men hon känner inte så många och ingen verkar tycka att hon är intressant. Så hon dricker och dricker och dricker. Och blir jättefull. Och gör en massa dumma saker man gör när man är kär och berusad.

    Och jag säger som Oskar, jag hjälper gärna till! Det här är så spännande, och sen var det faktist länge sen vi sågs.

    vilken bra idé! det här är ju jättespännande. men, jag tycker att det är lite gör fint alltihop. jag vill att tjejen som hon träffat ska typ hångla med någon annan på festen eller något, lite som i kommentaren här över, men utan att hon blir aspackad, det känns lite för förutsägbart. även om min idé kanske inte heller är så orginell direkt. men att tjejen är en player som krossar vår lilla huvudpersons hjärta. kind of.

    that was soo lovely! i really enjoyed the fact that instead of actual dialogue, you had those "text inserts" (is that what you call them?) i thought it matched the whole atmosphere of the film beautifully.

    i cant wait for the next one! :-)

    hey, great idea!!!

    maybe you could say something about here job, she could just have left school and be unsure of what she wants to do after...or maybe she is a kindergarden teacher...

    or she comes from a very rich family and she is so alternative just to show provocation...maybe her parents didn´t like the fact that she was homosexual ( is she sure about being gay though, or is she surprised herself that she has such strong feelings for a girl) and there were a lot of fights which made her leave home at a young age...

    HEY! great idea on this video blog thing!! it really promises to be exciting!
    Im thinking that mayeb she has something about her upbringing to make her insecure (she seems like an insecure person form what youve built and portrayed so far). Maybe she was homeschooled for whatever reason?

    That girl is kinda 'in love' but she might ruin the contact by being too chaotic. Being alone is much more poetic for someone like her !
